The Secret Place Changes Everything

“Why spend time with God in the secret place every day?”

I get it. Life is busy. Our to-do lists are endless. Sitting still can feel... unproductive.

But let me tell you something that changed my heart forever:

The real reason we go to the secret place isn’t just to get direction or feel peace. We go to know God — and be known by Him.

That truth hit me in the deepest way recently.

I was sitting still, no agenda, just being with Him. The kind of quiet where your soul finally exhales.

And in that stillness, I heard the Lord whisper: “You are an integral part of the body.”

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what He meant at first. But He nudged me to look up the word integral.

So I did.

Integral: necessary to make a whole complete; essential or fundamental.

And I just sat there. Stunned.

My heart swelled with the kind of joy no accomplishment could bring. God — the Creator of the Universe — just told me I am essential to His plan.

That one word redefined my day. It didn’t give me a five-step plan or instant clarity about the future. But it planted a core belief in me that now runs deeper than doubt:

I am necessary to the body of Christ. Not because of what I do, but because of who He says I am.

That’s the power of the secret place.

God doesn’t always hand you answers. But He anchors your identity. He doesn't always change your circumstances. But He transforms the way you see them.

You may not always leave The Secret Place with direction — but you always leave with connection.

And when your inner world is rooted in His voice, not the noise of the world… everything else begins to flow from that foundation.
